Make This A Local November - Spend With Real People this Month!

Small businesses are the pulse of your city; my small town; our unique corners of this planet. Don't take the easy way out of just choosing a familiar logo or chain eatery because they are more recognizable! Remember the people and places that built your neighborhood.

FINALLY, something we can all agree on!

Excellent reminder from the folks at Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce in Jamestown, North Dakota!

The favorite places we want to keep don't exist on "good luck" wishes and once-a-year-visits. Participate TODAY in the effort to keep your town or city amazing!

When you think about it, this is a great argument for spending with real people.

Keep your $$$ closer to home this month and make it a local November.

Independent businesses foster real connections, trusted people, and a feeling of involvement in one's community. Do you find that in a big box store?

What type of graphics do you feel would be useful for promotion of independent businesses? We asked you on our Facebook page - check out an upcoming blog post to see what we've been busy creating!

A sweet idea focused on supporting beloved independents and the people we know. The Toadstool Bookshop is located in Peterborough, NH.

Shop, visit and support your independently-owned businesses.....because nothing is as satisfying as a thriving, active and economically sustainable town.

We came across this effort "Just A Card", aimed at bringing back a focus to the folks who matter - independent retailers, makers and small business owners. Find out more on their website here.

Why drive out of town? Shopping at your independently-owned stores is one of the best ways you can give back to your community. See this post on Instagram & follow us

Stop to learn about the place where you live and the people who built your town, and above all, appreciate, and support the independent businesses which are the heart and soul of your neighborhood.

Whether you stay home on Black Friday and skip the running around (after all, you need to save your energy for Small Business Saturday!), or shop online from your favorite independent businesses, you can direct your spending towards the REAL PEOPLE you know who live and breathe their dream.

Stay in touch. Stop in and shop. Refuse to let your independents close their doors.

Be sure to check us out on our social channels for new images and graphics. Happy November!
