My spending model of shopping "where it means more", may include going to four independent stores to purchase what we need, rather than a single warehouse/chain entity (or one online order which arrives in eight different shipments/boxes). But my local stores are right around here, on the way to places I go each week. And they are here because we KEEP spending there, keep supporting them, keep their lights on and doors open....why wouldn't we want to see such places thrive and survive, remaining part of our landscape and local scene?
I'm truly at a loss to understand this new, manufactured, carefully marketed obsession with ditching the real people and forming connections with online chat bots and screens instead.
