• "Accept that not every small business will have extended hours, instant delivery or perhaps the huge variety of options available at a big box store. Realize that not everything MUST be unlimited choices, because honestly, we don't need the sun, moon and stars. A local deli we love is worth driving too - no delivery available. Favorite breakfast place only accepts cash and hundreds of thousands of people over the years have been okay with that! Maybe what we could do is be thankful for the quality places where we know awesome people, and promise to make the effort to get out there to support America's small businesses."
• "Look up favorite destinations on social media to like and follow them. Leave reviews on Facebook, Yelp and sites like Trip Advisor because that feedback helps them be noticed and stand out. Refer your friends and share best local businesses with your followers."
• "Be appreciative of the places you have which offer quality and are run by good people. Tell them they matter, and tell your peeps about them! Spend and visit often, even if you need to leave work 5 minutes early to get there before they close each night, because some things are worth making the effort for."
