We're in February, the "month of love" as it's commonly referred to, and all I keep thinking about is our world during the last eleven months. What changes we've been through, how much businesses and normal life has changed and all the entrepreneurs who are still holding on to make it through these tough times.
Now more than ever, we must come together and work smarter and harder than before to ensure the well-being of our independent retailers, restaurants and cornerstones of our communities. "Together we accomplish more" has always been one of my favorite sayings, and nowhere is that more clearly illustrated than in neighborhoods across the country where residents and business owners have pulled together to support and assist one another.
I encourage you to reach out to your fellow neighbors and shop keepers this month, and tell them they are appreciated. Post a note in your store window thanking the people who kept your lights on during a difficult year. Acknowledge your community with a special hashtag honoring the resilience and hard work of so many who live and breathe for the place they call home, because these relationships are what defines, enhances and shapes our lives.
I've been looking back on previous albums and posts from the last six years and decided to share them with you here.
